I don’t want to ride a heavy 29 Ultimate, because in the standard configuration it has without pedals 9,735kg (+ 0,18kg pedals = 9,915kg~9,92kg)
MY CANNONDALE SCALPEL 29 ULTIMATE BLACK PEARL HAS ***8,455g*** with pedals!!!
This is much to heavy, so i had to customize the bike , but i want to get a light bike with more stiffness as the standard Ultimate configuration.
To build a light bike is no Problem, but to build a 29 whitch is light and stiff also is the real challenge.
Now a few benchmarks:
I also want to ride 2 chainrings front and 10 rear because in my surroundings are a lot of mountains, with 1×11 i would have to little switching variants.
On my bike is no shimano xtr or sram xx or something like this, on my mtb works a Hydraulik System.
All bolts are made of Titan(some are also Black Titan and hollow)so also the chain, chainrings, and cassette.
The fork is also tunend and spezial customized for my requirements, a carbon shaft is also installed. The rear shox was also changed, now there works the new shox from DT Swiss X313 Carbon.
On this bike i also ride, same as my other bikes Schmolke tlo components, they are very stiff and really light. Other parts are also from great companies like Becker Carbon ( saddle) or Carbon TI or TUNE
For wheelset i was searching something stiff and very light at the same time.- i found some from Bike ahead . For me best wheelset.( i tried enve, raynolds, dt swiss, ax lightness rims 29 but no set has this stiffness like bike ahead)
